PLAYERS TO WATCH

1. Diego SCHWARTZMAN (#9)

Schwartzman had a rough ending to his Cordoba Open campaign last week, losing to eventual finalist Ramos-Vinalos in the quarter finals. With a similar field of clay courters in Buenos Aires, Schwartzman will need to put that loss behind him and focus on regaining the form that took him the the Roland Garros Semi Finals in 2020.

2. Cristain GARIN (#22)

Garin has struggled to start his 2021 season with a bad loss in January and then skipping the Australian Open 2021, however he is back on the surface he loves the most. This time last year during the South American clay court swing, Garin amassed a 10/1 win loss record winning 2 titles and will be looking to add to those this week.

3. Frances TIAFOE (#62)

Tiafoe was impressive at the Australian Open 2021, pushing eventual champion Djokovic to the brink, eventually going down in 4 tight sets in the second round. Although Big Foe is not known for his clay court game, he did go 6/3 win loss on the red dirt in 2020 which included a win at the Parma Challenger on clay.
